BPMN
The Business Process Modeling Notation is the global standard for process modeling and independent from specific tools. As a “common language” for the description of processes, it brings business and IT together. Therefore the BPMN is one major building block of modern business process management. The BPMN consists of more than 50 different symbols and can be confusing for beginners. Especially users of other process notations such as EPK often struggle with understanding the underlying concepts of the BPMN. This “new way of thinking” is the foundation for successful business IT alignment.
