BPM for advanced learners: OCEB Business Intermediate

This seminar is based on the OCEB Fundamental and prepares you for the next level of the certification in the ‘business track’. It is also meant for all those who want to develop their BPM-know-how further from a business perspective. Subsequently to the seminar you can take the exam in our test centre.

What is OCEB Business Intermediate?

OCEB stands for OMG Certified Expert in BPM. The OMG is a world-wide established institution which is responsible, among other things, for the standards of BPMN and UML. Especially the OCEB’s proximity to BPMN is an important argument for BPM practitioners because BPMN is part of the standard repertoire of process consultant today and will be queried in detail during the OCEB exam. The OCEB Certification consists of the three levels on the right; this seminar will prepare you for the level ‘Business Intermediate‘.

Agenda

The two-day seminar will optimally prepare you for the OCEB certification exam. You can take the business intermediate level exam at the end of the second day.

At the same time we will complement the contents of OCEB with our extensive and many years long experience from BPM projects. Thus you will learn which contents are really important for your own practical use, what’s the status quo in practical BPM trendsetting and which subjects you should be prepared for.

Business Process Modelling with BPMN Advanced BP modelling with BPMN: advanced event types, links & GoTos, transactions & compensation, complex activity inputs and outputs, Ad Hoc processes, exception handling, iteration/repetition/looping, grouping activities into sub processes, orchestration and choreography, BP control patterns.	34%
Business Process Management: Knowledge and Skills Measurement and optimisation: KPIs, business activity monitoring, score carding, benchmarking, process simulation and analysis, model value analysis (when to model, and when not to), BPMS tool fundamentals, BPM Centre of Excellence basics.	20%
Process Quality and Governance Frameworks Process quality and governance frameworks: Questions at the intermediate exam go one level deeper into the scope, goals, and structure of these major frameworks: SOX, Basel II, CobiT, and ITIL; frameworks for process improvement; change management principles; BPMM, 6 Sigma, LEAN.	17%
Business Rules Approach Creating process-specific business rules; advantages of a shared business-wide vocabulary.	14%

Conditions of Participation

The first level exam of the certification OCEB Fundamental must have been passed successfully.
Language: Even though the preparation seminar will be held in German, the exam is in English. During the seminar we will explain all exam related contents in German as well as in English terms.
