Inhouse Training

BPMN-Schulung bei der IHK-GfI
More and more enterprises want to start working with BPMN or have already started – this includes very different scenarios, ranging from process documentation as well as its use in requirements management in IT projects to the subject of process automation.
Normally we are hired for a several day-long training, in the succession of which we discuss the individual needs and general context within the company, the best way to proceed with the introduction of BPMN and of course practise BPMN. Often this is followed by review dates at which we see if the participants have understood and use BPMN in its right way and where we can – if necessary – offer further training.
“BPMN Guidelines” – the usage of modelling conventions becomes a more and more important subject. We help our customers to create such modelling conventions or bring our practice-proven „Best-Practice-Guidelines” as a starting point.
It is of secondary importance which software tool the customer uses as long as it is able to properly support BPMN. We already supplied in-house training on the basis of ADONIS, ARIS, BizAgi, IBM, inubit, MID, Prometheus, SAP, Signavio, Oracle, and Visual Paradigm.
Sometime the question which tool to use is part of our training, that is we help to decide which tool to use or if tool existing in the company is suitable for a consequent BPMN usage. In rare cases we contact the producer of the tool to inform them about the weaknesses in their tools concerning the support of BPMN.

Our BPMN training was a good mix of theory and practical examples including the analysis of our own processes. The course was well-structured with enough hands-on experiences and it conducted and catered according to our level of BPMN knowledge. The trainer is very competent and always capable of providing us the required information. Also, the training materials provided are very helpful for our subsequent reference and guidance. The BPMN seminar by camunda was competently conducted. Besides the mere rules of the notation standard, the emphasis was on our individual requirements and questions, which helped us enormously with our approach to BPMN. After this seminar, one is able to avoid possible pitfalls and model useful as well as comprehensible BPMN 2.0 models. The transition from other methods of modeling, e.g. EPK was enabled by this seminar. Frank Regel, Head of Quality Management |

Computacenter has developed a standardized procedure model which emphasises the customer processes, based on the project approach within the Consulting Services at Computacenter in different areas (e.g. Identity Management Solutions, Web Applications, Security, etc.). In this context, the customised training by camunda about BPMN and Requirements Management with BPMN was an excellent addition. The camunda trainer was very competent and happy to include additional examples from our existing projects. The content auf the BPMN training were conveyed by a very experienced trainer. The relation between theory and practical exercises was balanced. We especially liked the examples from different practical projects. Camunda does not teach “modelling for the ivory tower” but shows very specific ways to directly apply BPMN. Our individual questions were answered competently at all times. Topics such as “BPMN and agility” and a “Short introduction to Activiti” were easily integrated additionally into the agenda. Peter Müller, Senior Software Architect |

The BPMN training gave us a good insight into the introduction of BPMN in our company. Especially in the combination of theoretical and practical examples let the training seem to be well structured, entertaining and target-oriented so that the Reutax AG is now fully able to model all processes in BPMN. The trainer is eminently competent and has even supported us on the last day to model a complex model for an important project. Dirk Heilmann, Senior Manager |

The BPMN workshop communicates the whole notation in a very structured way. By means of perspicuous examples and exercises the numerous BPMN-symbols became intelligible. Also the differences between BPMN 1.2 and BPMN 2.0 are comprehensibly depicted. Moreover the demonstrated relevance of the symbols is very helpful for further usage. Many thanks! Our BPMN 2.0 training has been a real success. The choice of subjects as well as the answers to our questions was very flexible and competently conveyed. The trainer was cool and had much practical knowledge; he didn’t conceal any problems and didn’t try to sell BPMN as the world formula. The documents were significant without being dull. The workshop was fun and we learned a lot for our daily work. Ursula Gruber-Brandt, Enterprise Architecture Management |
